Duncan Cox
VOCALIST/LEAD GUITAR/COMPOSER
Duncan Cox is an actor/musician/singer/self taught multi-instrumentalist residing in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He co-founded Walk&Talk Theatre Company back in 2016 and has written the music for several shows under the Walk&Talk umbrella including Afterlight, End of the Line, and The Ballad of Johnny Boy to name a few. While being a musician, a singer, and a writer, Duncan also works consistently as an actor across several professional and independent stages (including Rainbow Stage, The Manitoba Theatre for Young People, The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, The Grand Theatre) as well as dabbling in the screen world from feature films to TV series’ to commercials.
Conveying and expressing emotions through lyrical, melodic, and harmonic means is at the forefront of his mind when writing and performing. Duncan has also begun delving into content creation for young people with bottomless joy and a love of lifelong learning as his underlying philosophy. Having written music for various theatre companies, given workshops on songwriting and lyrics generation, and creating an original score of music for a local teaching program for parents with newborns, Duncan is an ever growing versatile creator who is only beginning to brush the surface of his canvas as an artist. The Band at the Bottom of the Sea is the perfect avenue to explore and play even more!
